VAUTOUR, Norman J.

Age 84, passed away peacefully with family by his side on December 9, 2019 in Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital. Born in Geary, N.B. on July 19, 1935. He was a son of Joseph Vautour and Jean (Leblanc). He will be sadly missed by his daughters, Lori (Herb) Meade and Robin Vautour; his grandchild­ren, Ryan, Rachelle (Josh), Jeffrey and Samuel; and his great-grandchild­ren, Aloura, Edouard and Elsie; as well as several nieces and nephews. Norman is also survived by his sister, Imelda (Frank). He was predecease­d by his wife of 50 years, Amy (Lowe); his brothers, Arthur (Doris), Maxime (Eva), Philip (Jackie); and by his sister, Verna. He was employed for many years with Irving Oil until retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed fishing, telling very tall tales to his family, gardening, watching hockey (cheering on his Canadiens) and wrestling. Norman’s favourite time was teasing his daughters and grandchild­ren. He especially liked to tease his niece "Dingbat." We, Norman’s family, would like to extend a very heartfelt "Thank you" to the staff of Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital for the excellent care they provided. Family will receive relatives and friends in Rowlings Funeral Home, Musquodobo­it Harbour on Thursday, December 12th, from 6-9 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday, December 13th, at 11 a.m. in St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 723 East Chezzetcoo­k Rd., Chezzetcoo­k.
