McCARTHY, Annie Elva

Age 87, of Hantsport, Hants Co., passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019 in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on July 1, 1932, in Northport, Cumberland Co., Annie was the daughter of the late Wallace and Florence (Pipes) Brownell. She was a member of Avon United Church, Hantsport. Community and family were her life’s passions. She is survived by daughter, Susan, (Barry) Davison of Dartmouth; sons, Michael (Donna), of Hantsport, Mitchell (Debbie) of Cornwall, P.E.I., Timothy (Annette) of Lantz; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Arnold of Lower Sackville. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Garnet; son, Kevin; and brother, Eugene. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 17th in Lindsay Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King St., P.O. Box 2218, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0. Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 18th in Avon United Church, Hantsport. Rev. Ivan Norton officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Northport, Cumberland Co., at a later date.
