ZINN, Maureen Anne

Age 70 of Halifax, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2019 in Hospice Halifax. Born on January 7, 1949, in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Henry Zinn. She was a lifelong member of St. Patrick’s Church. She was an avid golfer and bridge player. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Patricia (Casey) Zinn; and first cousin, Katherine (Forwood) Floyd (John). She is survived by her sister, Patricia Zinn, Ottawa; her brother, Frank Zinn and first cousin, Paul Forwood. Also survived by nieces and nephews, Andreana (Butter) Cox (Sean), Hendrik M. Butter (Lisa), Jeremy Butter (Tina), Heather Zinn (John), Suzanne (Zinn) Salsman (Jayme) and Colleen Zinn. By her request, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation under the direction of Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville, at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to Hospice Halifax, SPCA or Bide Awhile.
