It is with great sadness that the family of Kendrick Eugene Sears announces his passing on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at the age of 92 years. Kendrick was predecease­d by his wife, Gloria June Sears (Christie). Kendrick was also predecease­d by his parents, Sadie Belle and Clayton Sears; and his siblings, Helen, Susie, Bertha, Lawrence, Ronald, Norma and Leslie. Kendrick will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Ruth Flemming (Dave Wallace) of Dartmouth; Helen Wheeler of Dartmouth; and Laura Lee Acker (Andrew) of Clyde River. Kendrick was blessed with grandchild­ren, Joshua Greenwood, Kayla Garron, Jennifer Dhillon, Jackie Macdonald, David Flemming, Aimee Acker and Aaron Acker; and great-grandchild­ren, Sammy and Ajay Dhillon, Rauri Macdonald, Averie Garron, Jayce Greenwood, and Andy Acker Jr. Kendrick’s family was the most important thing in his life - he loved his family with all his heart. He also loved being out on, or near the ocean, fishing, hunting, tending his garden, sports, and last, but not least, his home in Baccaro. That was where he was the most content. He was loved by all who knew him, and he held a special place within the community. He embraced life with a passion up until he left this beautiful world. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes & Crematoriu­m, Barrington. A Memorial Service in memory of Kendrick will be held on Saturday, December 21st at 2 p.m., in H. M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington, with Pastor Cindy Dunnett officiatin­g. Interment of Kendrick’s ashes will take place in the spring of 2020. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Yarmouth Hospital Foundation in his honor.
