Age 93, Halifax, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2020 in Melville Lodge. Born in West Dover, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lennie (Cleveland) Johnson. Evelyn worked for Maritime Tel and Tel as well as being a lifelong member of Forever Young at Heart Seniors Club. She loved playing bingo, a good game of cards, music, but, most of all being with her family. Evelyn is survived by her son, Donald (Heather); son-in-law, Donald Cullymore; sister, Shirlene; grandchild­ren, Rhonda, Christophe­r, Robert, Tracey, Joey, Corey, Kelly as well as several great-grandchild­ren and great great-grandchild­ren. She was predecease­d by her husband, Clarence (1967); son, Wendell; daughter-in-law, Joanne; daughter, Louise; brothers, Bill, Victor, Amos; sisters, Vera, Vivian, Bessie as well as her companion, Clary Watts. Funeral arrangemen­ts are under the care of Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax where visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. today, Tuesday, April 7th with limited number of visitors being allowed to enter the funeral home at once.
