Age 77 of Bear River passed away at home on April 1, 2020 after a long battle with cancer and heart disease. Dagmar was born in Witten, Germany to the late Otto and Anna (Geruschke) Buszello. In her early years, she apprentice­d to become a Profession­al Seamstress/tailor and studied Business. She later returned to school in Aachen, Germany and studied Geriatric Care. She owned her own restaurant and cooked for Maple Leaf Services in Soest, Germany where she met John, her future husband. Dagmar emigrated to Ottawa in 1969 and worked as a Nurses Aide and in 1970 married John who was in the military. Together they enjoyed postings to many areas of Canada and returned to Germany two more times where Dagmar worked in Lahr and Karlsruhe Germany as a Meat Store manager as well as doing contract work for the Canadian Armed Forces. On returning to Canada she started her own business and worked as a Seamstress until her retirement. Dagmar is survived by her husband of 50 years, John. She was predecease­d by brother, Dettmar Buszello. Dagmar loved her pets, gardening, needlework­ing and cooking. She will be missed by her loving husband John and her many relatives especially her niece, Lisa, Ottawa, with whom she shared many phone conversati­ons and a couple of recent visits. John would like to thank her Nurse Practition­er, Vanina Walsh and all the VON nurses who have provided care three times per week for the past two years. Donation’s in Dagmar’s memory can be made a charity of choice. Cremation has taken place under the care of Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby. Share a memory or leave a condolence at:
