-

It is with deep sadness and true gratitude for the life she lived, that the family of Geraldine "Gerry" Kleronomos announces her passing on April 28, 2020. Mom passed away peacefully at home in Halifax surrounded by her adoring family. Born in Little Bras d’or, Cape Breton, she was one of 18 children of the late Frank and Theresa (Mcgrath) Cantwell. After moving to Halifax, she met and married Peter, her loving husband of 62 years. Together they owned and operated the Riviera Restaurant and then the Rose Bowl Candy Shop in Halifax between 1958 and 2000. Mom was incredibly hard working, she had a strong Catholic faith and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who cared deeply for each of us. She was the heart of our family gatherings and we will always remember and cherish her wonderful energy, her beautiful smile and her big laugh. She is survived by her brother, Edgar (Margaret) of Little Bras d’or; and sisters, Phyllis (Dave) King of Halifax; and Shirley (Charles) King of Toronto. She will be greatly missed by her husband Peter; daughters, Anastasia (Andrew Macalpine), Maria (David Hubley), Nicolette; and son, John (Dr. Johanna Graham); grandchildren, Alexandra, Evangeline, Mikayla, Liam and Matthew. Mom was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph, Murray, Earl, Russell, Percy, Warren, Keith and Don; her sisters, Marguerite, Ida, Frances, Eileen, Greta and Patronella; and her sisters-inlaw, Koula, Patricia and Maria. Private interment has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home in Halifax, and a service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
