MACLEAN, Shaun Haverstock

Age 47, of Margaree Harbour passed away suddenly on April 27, 2020. Born in Inverness, he was a son of the late John E. and Cheryl (Fraser) Maclean. Shaun enjoyed the open highway from a young age, trucking across our country from the East coast to the West coast. He then worked and acquired John E. Maclean Enterprise­s. However, Shaun’s love for the ocean saw him give up the trucks and pursue what became a great livelihood for Shaun, fishing lobster and snow crab alongside his brother, Basil, and his many friends. Shaun had many talents. He enjoyed cooking and entertaini­ng, playing guitar and telling stories. He enjoyed reading, traveling, snowmobili­ng, motorcycle­s and he enjoyed his summers at his travel trailer on Cheticamp Island where many wonderful memories were made. Shaun is survived by his brothers, Basil (Sylvette), Cheticamp; Ian (Donnetta), Fort Mcmurray; his sister, Priscilla Leblanc, Belle Cote; nieces, Elyse Maclean, Tanya (Albert), Heather, Kelly (Joel) Leblanc; nephews, Craig (Selena) and Trevor (Sarah) Maclean; grandniece­s, Danielle and Malorie Leblanc, Madison, Leigha and Adelynn Maclean; and grandnephe­w, Oliver Maclean. Shaun is also survived by his estranged wife, Belinda Logan and her daughter, Erica; his aunts, Ruby (Arthur) Mackay and Marlene (Ernie) Bond; cousins, Helen (John Donald), John David and Catherine Greenough, Cheryl Fraser, Derrick Bond, Mark and Roger Matheson as well as many other cousins. Shaun had many wonderful friends who thought of him as a brother and watched out for him. Besides his parents Shaun was predecease­d by his niece, Faith Maclean; his brother-in-law, Jackie Leblanc; and his grandparen­ts. Cremation has taken place.
