Age 81, of Bedford and Heather Beach, died peacefully on May 4, 2020 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Ron lived a life full of diverse experience­s, and served in the military for 28 years, retiring as a Master Warrant Officer in 1982. He particular­ly enjoyed his final assignment in Burbank, Calif., as a member of the testing and acceptance team for the Aurora aircraft. After his military retirement, he worked with a division of IMP in Halifax, followed by Canadian Marconi in Ontario and Seagull Pewter in Pugwash. Ron took great pride in and pleasure from his many Masonic activities as well as his work as a member of the Cumberland Health Authority following his return to Nova Scotia. After his last retirement, he and his wife, Doreen (Leadbetter) enjoyed spending long summers in their cottage and warm winters in Florida, a pattern they continued for 16 happy years. Ron was born in Pugwash on July 31, 1938, the only child of Earl and Lois (Little) Scott, who predecease­d him. He is survived by his wife; his children, Ronna (Roy) Mosher, Alexander (Li) Scott and Allison (Mike) Callaghan, and his five granddaugh­ters and two grandsons. Arrangemen­ts have been entrusted to Macdiarmid’s Funeral Home and Crematoriu­m, Oxford. There will be no visitation or funeral service at this time because of the COVID-19 assembly restrictio­ns.
