MACLEAN (Lunn), Nancy Mae

- "When the golden sun is sinking, And your mind from care is free, When of others you are thinking, Will you sometimes think of me?"

October 29, 1949 - May 6, 2020. It is with great sadness we the family of Nancy Maclean, announces her passing at home, May 6, 2020, after a long battle with cancer. She died peacefully surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born in Windsor, Nancy was no stranger to adversity. She graduated from Victoria General Hospital School of Nursing in 1971, and then dedicated her life to her nursing career, working most of those years at the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. She moved to Scotsville in 1972 and made a home for herself and her boys that she was very proud of. Nancy is admired for living life to the fullest, and always "saying it as it is". She loved gardening, painting, animals and was always good for a laugh. Her talents were endless. She enjoyed many vacations with her friends that were like family. She forever had her door and heart open to everyone, whether it was a child, person in need or an animal, and she never expected anything in return. She never judged and her memory will live on in her family. Nancy’s life revolved around her loving family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Hugh Don; sons, Alan, Scotsville; Eric (Heather), Scotsville; grandchildren, Evan, Aurora, Aliceon and Erica; embraced son, David, Waverly; and her longtime friend, Barbara; foster sister, Frances Boutilier; foster brother, Kenneth Sheward; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Thurston and Ella (Flynn) Lunn; foster parents Rev. Francis and Elizabeth Sheward; siblings, Thurston, Curt, Judy, Lois, Debbie, Golda; and foster brother Donald. We would like to thank everyone who has supported Nancy to be at home over the last number of months.
