SCRIBNER (Redstone), Eunice Ruth

It is with great sadness the family of Eunice Ruth Scribner (Redstone), age 87 of Dartmouth announces her passing on May 7, 2020 in Northwood Senior Home Halifax. Born in Fredericto­n Junction, N.B., daughter of the late Ottis James Redstone and Ruth Ursula Redstone (Nason). Eunice was a dedicated homemaker who took great pride in caring for her home and her children. She cared for many other children in her home and always kept a proud watch on their successes. She was an excellent cook and baker and made many great meals she enjoyed sharing with her family. Eunice loved music, animals and playing cards and in recent years we all discussed the pictures of cats she had displayed on her walls in her room. She was a proud first-aider with Saint John Ambulance Organizati­on during her time she lived in Charlottet­own, P.E.I. Later on Eunice volunteere­d to support children with disabiliti­es and the Canadian Cancer Society. Eunice was predecease­d by her husband, Arthur Donald "Don" Scribner; sisters, Alada and Margaret Phillips; brothers, Dana and Charles; brothers-in-law, Don Gray, Foster Harris, Harry Phillips and Fred Phillips; and sister-in-law, Mary Gray. She is survived by children, Donald (Mavis), Nancy Anderson, Karrie and Timothy (Shelley); grandchild­ren, Andrew (Heather Whipp), Lauren (Matthew) Ward, Nason (Hannah) Scribner, Stephanie Anderson (Marlee Davis) and great-grandchild­ren, Henry "the King" Ward, Gwen and Finn Scribner; sisters, Ursula Harris, Enid Phillips; sister-inlaw, Elizabeth "Wiz" (Larry) Burgess; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Three Centre Northwood for the care and dedication to Eunice over the last five years and especially during the time of her illness.
