It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Corinne Parker (Boyd) on April 16, 2020, in Fort Mcmurray, Alta. Born in Halifax, April 30, 1970, but considered Sampsonvil­le, Cape Breton her home where she was surrounded by a large family. Cor was a gentle soul, always had a big smile for everyone, and was our earthly angel. Her favorite place to vacation was Disney World, where she spent many vacations with Gerry and the boys. She loved roller coasters; the bigger the better. She was an avid gardener, when she was in her garden she was in her happy place. She studied Power Engineerin­g at Strait Campus, Port Hawkesbury, and went on to work in the field in many capacities. Later in her career she taught Power Engineerin­g at Strait Campus and Keyano College in Fort Mcmurray, Alta. She had a great connection with her students and mentored many of them long after they completed their studies. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Gerry; her boys, Levi and Brice, who brought her great joy; parents, Richard and Georda Boyd; father-in-law, Dave Parker; brother, Richard Boyd (Morgan); brother-in-law, David Parker (Tina); niece Emma; nephew RK; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Predecease­d by mother-in-law, Rose (Bond) Parker; paternal grandparen­ts, Richard and Helen (Starrett) Boyd; maternal grandparen­ts, George and Genevieve (Sampson) Carter. Cremation has taken place and a celebratio­n of life will be announced at a later date.
