BANCROFT (Auton) (Steele) (Thomas), Florence Amy Alice "Flo"
Age 93, of Scott’s Bay, Kings Co., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at home. Born in England, she was a daughter of the late John and Laura (Harris) Auton. She immigrated to Canada as a war bride in 1946. She is survived by children, Joy (Calvin) Tupper, Scott’s Bay; Sonia (Peter) Eagar, Canaan; Brian Steele, Wolfville; grandchildren, John, Heather, Christa and Tanya; great-grandchildren, Dawson, Hannah, Jeremy, Taitum, Grace, Bridgett, Madison, Elijah, James, Ella Elizabeth, Sarah, Isabella, Isaiah, Ezra, Emmy and Daisy; great great-granddaughter, Peyton; special niece, Margaret (Brian) Kenvyn, England; many additional nieces, nephews and extended family members. Flo was the youngest of nine children and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by husbands, Frank Steele, Rev. Harold Thomas and Carl Bancroft; sisters, May, Laura, Betty and Emily; brothers, Walter, Percy, Jack and Bert. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request. A funeral service and reception will be held at a later date in White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Rev. John Andrew (grandson) and Rev. Thelma Macdonald officiating. Burial will take place in Scott’s Bay Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Lung Association Nova Scotia or the Valley Regional Hospital - Careyme Fund (in support of palliative care in the home.)
