Age 69 of South Greenwood, passed away in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, on Monday, May 11, 2020 with his wife, Shelly and his daughter, Krista by his side as he took his last breath. Born in Berwick, he was a son of the late Earl and Elsie (Griffin) Foster. David was a retired owner/operator truck driver for TRA Atlantic. He was a racing fanatic, loved dirt track racing, and he enjoyed driving "The Grinch No. 55". He loved his granddaugh­ters and was always happiest when they were around. His life was trucking, and as an avid hobby farmer, he loved his Kabota tractor. David was always seen with a toothpick in his mouth. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Shelly; sons, Mark (Alicia) Foster, Kingston; Brian (Melinda) Foster, Mount Uniacke; daughter, Krista (Matthew Whyte), Kingston; sister, Marguerite Riutta, Greenwood; brother, George (Jocelyn), Greenwood; granddaugh­ters, Karlea, Vayda, Charlotte, Octavia; several nieces and nephews, especially close nephew, Bruce Riutta, South Greenwood; best friend since childhood, Allison (Bonnie) Spinney, Kingston. In keeping with David’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebratio­n of Life will take place at a later date.
