MACUMBER, Margaret Evelyn

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Margaret Evelyn Macumber announce her peaceful passing at home on May 12, 2020, with her family by her side. Born in Bramber on February 2, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Winfred and Alma (Mills) Brown. Margaret was known for her famous baking, love of animals, feeding her birds and cuddling with her cat Bubby. She enjoyed tending her rose bushes and flower gardens. Margaret loved to shop and never missed her annual Christmas shopping trip to Truro. Bluegrass music kept her toes tapping. She enjoyed attending concerts, music festivals, and community fundraiser­s, along with her summertime trips to Mahone Bay. Her daily Tim Horton’s visits kept her social and up to date on the latest news. Margaret loved with all her heart and despite living in Three Mile Plains at the time of passing, her heart belonged on the shore. Trips to the Ocean Beach Road always made her smile. She cherished her family and loved them unconditio­nally. Margaret is survived by her children, Sharlet (Brian) Wamboldt, Mike (Karen) Macumber, Wanda (Phillip) Leopold, and Jeff; four sisters and six brothers; 11 grandchild­ren and 18 greatgrand­children. She was predecease­d by her husband of 58 years, Russell Macumber; grandson, Andrew Bond; brothers, Bill and Bub Brown. The family would like to thank Dr. Cussen, The VON, Palliative Care/amber Phillips for their support and help during this difficult time. Cremation has taken place. Due to the current Nova Scotia Health regulation­s concerning the Covid-19 virus, there will be a private family committal service held at a later date.
