March 25, 1933May 1, 2020. It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Lou O’grady announces her death in Quebec City at the age of 87 years. Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Edward Murphy; and her children, Ivan (Siobhan Cleary), Gordon (Catherine Ciaravola), Pamela (Thomas Butler), Gregory (Christine Fortin), Nancy (Scott Hodgson), Anthony (Tracy Young), Cynthia (Sandy Allen). She also leaves behind her grandchild­ren, Aelyn, Nolan, Oliver, Emlyn, Nicolas, Tymandra, Antonia, Richard, Jaspar, Mary Lou, Clara, Spencer, Cedric, James, and Charles; her brothers and sisters: Erwin (Patricia Eula), Kathleen (Charles Boylan), Eugene (Ellen Redmond), and Walter (Linda Mccoy); her sisters-in-law, Mariette Vallée and Elisabeth Drolet; as well as cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends. She was predecease­d by her parents, Thomas O’grady and Lucie Sheehan; as well as her brothers and sisters, Shirley, Reginald, Francis, Thomas, and Rosina; her sisters-in-law, Claudette Turmel and Pauline O’farrell; her brothers-in-law, Frank Brennan, Albert Kowal, and David Urquhart. The family would like to extend special thanks to the personnel at the Jeffery Hale Hospital and Laval Hospital (cardiology and geriatrics); particular thanks to Dr. Catherine Gagnon, Marie-chantale Ahern, Denis De Montigny, Danielle Renaud, Mylène Arsenault, Isabelle Charest and France Gaudet for their exemplary care at the Jeffrey Hale in the last weeks of Mary Lou’s life. Given the Covid-19 pandemic, a mass will take place in St. Patrick’s Church (Quebec City) at an undetermin­ed date. Those who so desire, may make memorial donations in her memory to the Friends’ Foundation of Jeffery Hale-st. Brigid’s.
