HOUSE, Ann Marilyn

-

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ann Marilyn House announces her peaceful passing on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Born on June 23, 1944 in Antigonish, Ann was the first child of the late George and Florence Macisaac (of Antigonish). Ann grew up in Antigonish and her hometown always held a special place in her heart. As an adult Ann lived in Truro, Dartmouth, Ottawa, and Parrsboro. But home became Lower Sackville and that is where she raised her family and lived the last 30 years of her life. Ann went back to the workforce late in life working at K-mart in Downsview Mall before finding her calling with the Bank of Nova Scotia where she worked at multiple branches until her retirement. Ann loved being a mom and her children were the most important part of her life. Ann was incredibly supportive of her children and their interests. Ann spent a lot of time at arenas, baseball fields and dance competitions or anywhere else her children and later her grandchildren were having fun. Ann loved to travel, especially to Florida to relax and enjoy the beach. All she needed to enjoy a beautiful day was the sand, the waves, the sun and a good book. Ann was a proud homeowner and loved tending to her flower gardens in her yard on a sunny morning. But always, family was her biggest joy. You could see Ann was her happiest when she was surrounded by all her children and grandchildren celebrating special occasions. Ann will be lovingly remembered by her children, Todd House and his wife Beth; her daughter, Tracey Whebby; her son, Jim House; her sister, Margaret Purdy and husband Angus in Antigonish. Ann is also survived by her grandchildren who will never forget being spoiled by Nanny. Blake and Mallory Whebby, Rebecca and Nicholas House, and Dylan House were Ann’s pride and joy. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ann to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia would be appreciated by the family. Cremation has taken place. Online condolences may be made by visiting the website: www.atlanticfuneralhomes.com and selecting the Sackville Chapel.
