Robbers flee bank without money

Police are investigat­ing an attempted robbery at a bank in Dartmouth on Friday.

Halifax Regional Police say two males entered the Royal Bank of Canada branch on Tacoma Drive just before 5 p.m. and demanded money, indicating they had a firearm.

The culprits left on foot without getting any money, police said, and were last seen running towards the Sobeys store across the street.

No weapons were seen and nobody was injured in the incident, police said.

A 5:45 p.m. news release said police were still at the scene and were also searching for the suspects.

The suspects were described as wearing sunglasses, dark masks, dark hoodies and dark pants. One of them was carrying a red Goodlife Fitness bag.

She was an avid skier, swimmer, reader, bridge player and world traveller; a woman who modelled strength and grace for all those who knew her. Funeral services to be held in Centre Funeraire Cote des Neiges, 4525 Cote des Neiges. Donations to the Cancer Research Society would be appreciate­d.
