It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Audrey "Isabel" Cameron on February 24, 2021 in Northwood Ivany Bedford, Bedford. A lovely Christmas present, Isabel was born December 25, 1930 in Springhill, and she was the daughter of the late David and Iva (Morrison-gallagher) Mackinnon. She worked for a number of years at the Department of Education in Amherst, then transferre­d to Halifax to the Nautical Institute and then 10 years at Department of Mines and Energy (Natural Resources) in Halifax and then retired and moved back to Amherst. Isabel enjoyed reading her bible, playing her piano and singing, knitting, cooking sweets for everyone and volunteeri­ng at the food bank. Isabel is survived by her husband, Lorney; brother, Morris Mckinnon of Peterborou­gh, Ont.; children, Earl (Lucille) Cameron of Sackville, N.B.; Diane Cameron of Moncton, N.B.; James Cameron of Port Greville; Bonnie (Gary) Jensen (Cameron) of Harmony; eight grandchild­ren; and six greatgrand­children. Isabel was predecease­d by her brothers, Kenneth and Douglas. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 28th from 1-2 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jonathan Cole officiatin­g, all in Campbell’s Funeral Home Chapel, 98 Church St., Amherst. Interment will take place at a later date in Maccan Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 restrictio­ns please call (902) 667-9906 to reserve your place for the funeral service. We kindly ask that all COVID-19 guidelines including masks and physical distancing be observed while visiting our location. In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributi­ons can be made in Isabel’s memory to a charity of your choice.
