Monty passed away on March 2nd, their 64th Wedding Anniversar­y. Born and raised in Blandford to the late Morton and Ezelia (Hupman) Publicover on May 1, 1932. Also predecease­d by his Brother Earle. Monty sailed on the SS Imperial Boats from 19531957. Drove heavy machinery for the Department of Highways in 1958. He worked very hard from a very young age, working from the ground up but the job he was most content with was working for his brother, Earle, at Publicover Garage as a mechanic, working side by side for 26 years. Together they were foundering members of the Blandford Fire Department. A member of St. Barnabas Church where he served as Warden for many years. Monty was well respected had endless patience and a great sense of humour. He loved a good game of cards, hunting and a drink of fine wine. With many health problems, never complainin­g he accepted this with his calm manner. His greatest joy and source of pride was his family who never let him down. He was loved and he knew it. Survived by the love of his life, of 64 years, Marilyn (Frail). Together they raised their family with love, patience, teaching to always do the right thing and honestly always came first. Children, Eric (Sandra) Publicover, Gail (Duke) Chafe, Glenda (David) Andrews, Gloria (Derrick) Verge; grandchild­ren, Harmonie (Tim) Webber, Amanda (Jason) Rafuse, Shannon Publicover (Brad Cole), Ashlee Publicover (Ryan Robar), Morgan Andrews (Jacob Wentzel), Whitney Andrews (Kenneth Stevens), Lakyn (Theodor) Voege, Luke Verge (Tarah Mackenzie); great-grandchild­ren, Haylee Marilyn, Brody; Nolan and Wyatt. Moving from Blandford to Chester in 2013. Cremation has taken place, entrusted under the care of Ronald Walkers Funeral Home. A Celebratio­n of Life will be held at a later date.
