CROMWELL, Frederick Earl "Teddy"

Age 79 of East Preston passed away peacefully on April 12, 2021 in Twin Oaks Hospital, Musquodobo­it Harbour. Predecease­d by his mother, Inez Hazel Dymond, father Frederick Trevoy Cromwell; and sister, Ada Mae Grant; and niece, Pamela Grant. Born in Woodstock, N.B. He is survived by his brother, Myles Cromwell; daughter, Seleta Cromwell; ex-wife and favorite dance partner, Judith Conrod; and grandchild­ren, Malcolm Cromwell-gore and Alicia Rae Perez Cromwell. He will be greatly missed by his best friend and partner-in-crime Dave Cossett, his wife Jill and daughters, Erin Cossett and Angela Oakes. He will be remembered fondly by niece Kimberly Grant; and nephews; Irvin, Gerald and Duane Grant; and other extended family. Teddy was a retired steelworke­r who loved to play cards, dice, darts and shoot pool. He enjoyed old western movies, reading and listening to the blues. Teddy was a very humble and shy man but that did not change his love of dancing. In his words he was known "to cutup the dance floor". A special thanks from the family to the staff at Twin Oaks Hospital for managing Teddy’s care up until his passing with compassion. In keeping with COVID restrictio­ns. public viewing will be by invitation only in East Preston United Baptist Church, in East Preston on Friday, April 16th, 11 a.m. till the time of service at 12 noon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, Rev. Joyce Ross officiatin­g. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Black Cultural Centre of Nova Scotia.
