CURRAN, Justin Charles

-

Of Halifax. Our beloved son Justin passed away in Destruction Bay, Yukon, April 10, 2021 at the age of 31. Born in Halifax, Justin was a son of Randy Curran and Angela Curran (Sonnichsen). Justin’s love of cooking gave him the ability to work anywhere. At this young age Justin realized a dream and went North for the last two years. Justin found a peaceful existence in the Yukon surrounded by mountains, lakes and wildlife. Every day he was in awe of the beauty of his surroundings. Justin’s charming smile (which he knew he had!!) and endearing personality made it so easy to have him around. Wherever he was he made friends for life. He had a great love of dirt bikes, snowmobiling and exploring which was all made possible for him in the Yukon. Justin loved playing hockey especially here in Halifax with his dearest friend Steve Armstrong. Justin is survived by his parents, Randy and Angela; his older brother Devin; his grandmothers, Rose Sonnichsen and Ruth Curran; his uncles, Peter (Lia), Ronnie (Ellie); aunts, Margo, Donna-marie (Gary), Kimberley (Blane), Jackie; his wonderful cousins, Todd (Allison), Brad, Lee, Allison, Amanda, Lukas and Kylie and Mitchell. Justin was predeceased by his Papas’, Hardy Sonnichsen and Kenneth Curran and his uncle, Scott Curran. Justin also leaves his special God-daughter, Alora Armstrong. A special part of Justin’s life was his love Shanna Hebert. A special thanks to Charlie and Suzanne in the Yukon. Thank you for being so good to our son; he loved you very much. We all have struggles as Justin did but every day he tried to make a difference. We can’t imagine life without him but we know he is watching and with that charming grin always walking beside us. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crosbie House Society and take a moment to make someone else’s day better; be kind to each other. Due to COVID-19 there will be a private family service at a later date.
