EYE (Parker), Margaret Elizabeth

-

Formerly of Lower Wolfville, regret to inform you of her death on April 12, 2021 in Greenwich. She was born on March 2, 1923 in Canard, Kings Co. a daughter of the late George and Edith (Guptell) Parker, and twin sister of Malcolm Edward Parker. She died not from COVID-19 but from a year of isolation in Long Term Care without family and friends. Family meant the world to her and until COVID-19, we were with her continuously. She enjoyed family outings and visits from one and all, aging children to greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews. All were important to her. It is hard to express how deeply this loss of family contact affected her. Margaret is survived by her children, David (Anne Fox), Sandra Schofield (Wayne), Paulette (Garth Hancock), Elaine (Andrea Lynn), and John (Lynn Buchanan), as well as grandchildren, Heather (Jake), Andrew (Sara), Nicky (Dan), Adam (Natasha), Amy, Nicholas, Parker (Lee-ann), Carlena, and Mitchell and great-grandchildren, Bradley, Xavier, Jenna, Zoe, Myla, Aiden, Lucas, Kingston, and Aven, as well as many nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law, Barbara Eye. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Vernon; daughter, Joan Peach and grandson, Joey Rushton and by her siblings, Clyde, Victor, Frederick, William, Avon, Norma, Eva, Hollis, Vera, and Malcolm. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Cremation has taken place and a family graveside service will take place April 24th at 11 a.m. in Willowbank Cemetery, Wolfville. A celebration of her life will follow this summer with an outdoor picnic when all that wish, can attend. Time and place to be announced. Mum told us often of the picnics that her grandparents had in Falmouth where they moved the diningroom table outdoors on sunny summer days to have enough room for everyone. We too enjoyed many large family picnics with her most summers. In lieu of flowers and donations we ask that you think of Mum when you see the first blossoms and smell the apple blossoms, as she delighted in these signs of spring. Arrangements have been entrusted to White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
