MARSHALL, Malcolm Mcdonald
It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Malcolm Mcdonald Marshall, on May 10, 2021 in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Barbados February 5, 1944, he was a son of the late Garnet and Kathleen Marshall (Smith) and loving son to mother-in-law, Eva Cromwell. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Amanda (Cromwell); son, Phenrick (Dayna) Marshall; daughters, Sonia (Dale) Hutchinson and Rosalin (Anthony) Gough. He leaves behind grandchildren, Noah and Owen Marshall, Aaron and Tristen Hutchinson and Katelynn and Alexandria Gough. He also leaves behind his brother, Rudolph Marshall; his sister, Pauline Thompson and special cousins, Gloria Watson and Leroy Marshall. He was predeceased by his brothers, Llywelyn, Phenrick and Christopher Marshall. He began his work life as a supervisor at Barbados Light and Power. Upon moving to Canada he was employed by NAV Canada for many years as a Radar Technologist. During that time he took his family and his technician talents on a once in a lifetime job posting to Sable Island. He was passionate about education and gardening, was an avid reader, and a tennis and cricket enthusiast. Spending time with his four grandsons and family brought him great joy. He was a member of Victoria Road Baptist Church and the Equity Lodge. Special thanks to Dr. Humphrey, Dr. van Tol and Dr. Mears for their care and the staff at Dartmouth General 4 West. A private home-going service at a later date. Any donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. He will be forever missed. Online condolences: www.coleharbourfuneral.com
