ESTABROOKS (Keeping), Elsie Elaine

Age 63, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2021 in Dartmouth General Hospital. Daughter of the late Robert and Susan Keeping, she is survived by her much-loved husband, Dana; her brother, David, and many family members and friends. Dear Elsie will always be remembered for her devotion and interest, kindness and care. Elsie was raised in Dartmouth. She especially valued her circle of friends, and in 2017 brought together dozens of Brock Street buddies for a memorable reunion. Elsie treasured her parents' Newfoundland roots and the Newfoundland spirit of family ties, keeping in touch regularly with her aunts, uncles and cousins, and making special visits to Ontario and New England to see loved ones. She enjoyed almost daily calls with family members in St. John's and elsewhere and virtual chats with Facebook contacts in Belleoram and Fortune Bay communities. A member of Christ Church, Dartmouth, she was active in many church activities and events. She loved to sing and was a long-time member of Christ Church choir. Elsie loved animals, and will be missed by her special girl, Georgia the basset hound, and her dognephew Robb, the bulldog. In Elsie's memory, please consider a donation to a charity of choice for the care of animals. Due to pandemic restrictions, a private interment in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens will take place with Rev.
