MACDONALD, Alison Dorothy
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Alison Dorothy Macdonald of Oxford, on Monday, July 19, 2021 in North Cumberland Memorial Hospital. Born in New Glasgow on June 16, 1959, she was a daughter of Calvin and Jeannine (Holloway) Macdonald of Trenton. Alison is survived by sister, Carolyn Francis (Stephen Deveau), Mount Uniacke; brother, Keith Macdonald (Mary Fennell), New Glasgow; stepsister, Judy (Robert) Lockett, Bridgetown; brother-in-law, Clifford Cox, Hamilton, Ont.; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her stepfather, Glenn Wagner; sister, Maureen Cox; and stepsister, Elaine Wagner. We would like to acknowledge and express our appreciation for the wonderful care provided to Alison by Dr. Ron Rondeau of Oxford, the staff at North Cumberland Memorial Hospital in Pugwash, and the VON. Special thanks are extended to her palliative care social worker Brenna Koneczny for her wonderful support. Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. The remains have been cremated and a graveside service will be held at a later date.
