Age 64 of North Preston, passed away peacefully, Friday, July 16, 2021, surrounded by her family in the VG Site, QEII. Debra was employed at the Citadel Inn in Halifax for many years. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Rosetta Smith. She is survived by her lifetime companion, Bradford Downey; children, Enrico (Brandee), Vanessa, Alisha, Demetrius (Ashley), Trenessa, Tornisha, Martin, Natasha (Calvin), Cassandra, Anthony; sisters, Margaret, Elizabeth, Diane, Claudia, Ronda, Wanda, Wendy; brothers, Robert (Lorna), Arthur Jr. (Agnus), Larry (Betty), Sherman (Gail), Layton Sr. (Debbie), Eric (Janice), Gordon, Gale (Lisa), Michael, Layton Jr. (Tiffany), Presley; grandchildren, Tahjai, Enrico, Keyonna, Naziyah, A'laysha, Neveah, Zayen, Nai'ondre. Godchildren; Gerome, Romar, Cody, Kyaira. She had many nieces and nephews in which she had special bonds with; special sister, Lola Mae. Predeceased by sisters, Geneva, Mae, Viola; brothers, Murray, Chester, Vernon; daughter, Shykayla Visitation will be held between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Friday, July 23rd at St. Thomas Baptist Church. Private Funeral (invitation only) will be held at 1 pm on Friday July 23rd in St. Thomas Baptist Church, North Preston, Rev. Wallace Smith officiating.
