It is with profound sadness that we announce the loss of James Edward Feeney, 74, of Cole Harbour, who passed away peacefully at home on August 30, 2021. Born in Dartmouth, he was the oldest son of the late Theresa (Vickers) and Edward Feeney. Jim worked for many years in the jewellery business which took him across the country, eventually returning to Nova Scotia with his family where he worked for Neima Brothers and then his own store, KC Jewellery. Prior to his retirement he worked at Forbes Chevrolet in car sales. Jim was very active in the community over the years, volunteeri­ng on many committees. He was an avid softball player and umpire. He will be missed by his wife of 52 years, Gerry (Singer); his

son, Sean (Zoe Spencer) and daughter, Robyn (Peter Bentley). He was a proud Papa to his grandchild­ren, Morgan Bentley and Jordan Feeney. Jim came from a large family of four brothers and six sisters, Gerry Lou Norton (Jim), Peggy Cooper (Bruce), Teri, Catherine Delfs (Jim), Mary Macdonald, Ralph (Donna), Robert (Lois), Martha (Danny) and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jim was predecease­d by brothers, Frank, Paul; sister in infancy (Janet); brother-in-law, Craig and in-laws, Carl and Priscilla Gass. The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jack Sommers and Dr. Peter Macaulay for taking such excellent care of Dad over the years. Celebratio­n of Life will be held in St. Peter’s Church, 10 Maple St., Dartmouth on Saturday, September 4th at 11 a.m., with Father James Mallon officiatin­g. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangemen­ts have been entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialist­s.
