It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bruce Douglas Langille, age 72, of Springhill. Bruce passed away at his son's home on Sunday, May 8, 2022. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Beaton and Florence (Hickman) Langille. Bruce worked at various careers throughout his lifetime - educator, coach, entreprene­ur, photograph­er, and sports journalist. He shared his passion for stock car racing with his wife, Bea. Together, they gallivante­d adventurou­sly across the Maritimes, providing photos and commentary for their website, The Racing Spectator. Bruce loved animals and valued family above all else. He will be dearly missed by his sons, Doug (Rhonda) and Mike (Lisa); daughter, Sarah (Robert); grandchild­ren, Carye, Meghan, Adam, Karyn, Daniel; several greatgrand­children, and many other family members, Kim and Roy, Liz and Gerald, Tammy, John, David and Mia; close friends, June, Wally, Melody; and his fur babies Ruby, Star, Snowflake. In addition to his parents, he was predecease­d by his loving wife, Beatrice; sisters, beverly (Reginald) Durmetrick and Yvonne (James) Bluthner. Arrangemen­ts are under the care and guidance of A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 Mcfarlane St., Springhill (902-597-2361) where visiting hours will take place on Friday, May 13th from 1-2 p.m., followed immediatel­y at 2 p.m. by his funeral service, Captains Stephen and Rosalyn Toynton presiding.
