Maiden, Mother, Crone
Rhonda Barrett’s collection of works are billed as “a self-directed exploration of what it means to the artist, Rhonda Barrett, to be a female in today’s world. It is informed by her readings, observations and personal experiences of being a woman recently turned mother, who is starting to experience early transition into crone.” Emotions are unfurled as femininity is assessed from all angles—from portraits to symbols to both modern and historical ideas of womanhood.
