Dart­mouth Wa­ter­front

Paved and gravel, 3km. Start­ing at Alder­ney Land­ing, this stretch of trail runs from Alder­ney Ferry Ter­mi­nal to Wood­side Ter­mi­nal.

Shear­wa­ter Flyer Trail

Gravel, 6.5km. Starts on De­part­ment of Na­tional De­fense lands in Shear­wa­ter and con­nects with the Salt Marsh Trail.

Salt Marsh Trail

Gravel, 7km. Starts at the Cole Har­bour Her­itage Park on Bissett Road, tougher on windy days but no hills.

Rum Run­ners Trail

Gravel, 123km. Con­nects Hal­i­fax to Lunen­burg— not for the faint of heart, but sec­tions of this trail are worth tack­ling a lit­tle at a time.

Chain of Lakes Trail

Paved, 7.3km. The first part of the Rum Run­ners Trail starts across the road from the At­lantic Su­per­store on Joseph Howe. Winds its way to Beechville where the BLT trail starts.

BLT Trail

Gravel, 13km. Starts in Beechville on Lake­side Park Drive, part of the Rum Run­ners Trail.

St. Mar­garets Bay Trail

Gravel, 32km. Fol­lows the BLT trail on the Rum Runner’s Trail and is worth tak­ing to get to the Bike and Bean Cafe.

Peg­gys Cove

Road and gravel, 81.9km. Re­cently got a wider shoul­der added, and part of the jour­ney runs along the BLT Trail.

Sam­bro Loop

Road, 48.9km. Pretty hilly, loop starts and ends at Choco­late Lake (per­fect for a post-ride swim).
