LOVING LITERACY
In celebration of World Literacy Day, the Colchester Adult Learning Association offered a COVID-friendly pickup for free books and family literacy activity kits containing reading activities, notebooks, puzzles, pencils, stickers and more. There was also a draw for a gift basket containing books by Maritime authors and winter comfort items. Executive director Mary Teed said the day-long event, themed “travel the world together,” was an opportunity to engage in family learning and have community members learn about the association’s programming at its new location off Walker Street in Truro.
