Truro welcomes a new business

A local constructi­on supply company has officially opened a new branch in Truro.

Bird Stairs recently celebrated the opening of its newest location in Truro, at 43 Glenwood Dr., with a barbecue and meet and greet. Customers and community members gathered for a lunch, met with vendors and enjoyed prizes, including the grand prize of a $1,000 Bird Stairs credit. The winner was Ed

Bowers.

Bird Stairs has been supplying speciality constructi­on, electrical, plumbing and heating supplies to Atlantic Canada since 1958.

“Our management is extremely pleased to have opened our new branch in Truro that will support our existing and new customers in the surroundin­g region. We now have a total of nine locations throughout Atlantic Canada,” said the business’s president, Geoff Munn, in a news release.
