Holyrood RCMP clocks vehicle at 151 km/hr on Trans-Canada Highway
Holyrood RCMP pulled over a driver reportedly traveling at a dangerous speed last Monday on the Trans-Canada Highway.
According to a news release, a call came in from a concerned motorist at 5 p.m. Oct. 29 indicating another vehicle was going too fast. Officers soon located the vehicle, which was traveling in excess of 151 kilometres per hour. The release said the highway was wet at the time, with rain and fog contributing to poor weather conditions.
The male driver was issued a speeding ticket, his licence suspended and vehicle impounded.
Holyrood RCMP is warning drivers of the dangers inherent in speeding. The police force plans to continue enforcement efforts targeting aggressive drivers to keep highways safe. Holyrood RCMP stopped a driver on the Trans-Canada Highway Oct. 29 who was allegedly travelling at 151 kilometres per hour.
