Carbonear Christmas parade spreads holiday cheer
Dozens of participants march, dance and drive through community
The sun shone brightly for Carbonear’s Christmas parade on Dec. 9.
Starting at Home Hardware on Powell Drive, dozens of vehicles and floats lined up to make their way through the community on Sunday afternoon to celebrate the season and share some holiday cheer.
Despite some colder temperatures throughout the day, plenty of people lined the streets to watch the parade as it proceeded down Powell Drive, wended its way through Water Street and back through Crocker’s Cove. Dancers from DanSing Studio were one of many groups of people that braved the winter chill to dance their way through the Carbonear parade on Sunday, Dec. 9. Some participants came with a message to share with those watching from the sidelines.
