Children are welcome and there will be a special activity for them.

VOLUNTEER NOMINATIONS
It is that time of year again when Amherst begins looking for nominations for the community’s amazing volunteers.
Nominations can be submitted to https://amherst.ca/amherst-volunteer-nominationapplication-form.html
Each year communities across Canada celebrate National Volunteer Week in the month of April. National Volunteer Week is to thank and honor individuals who donate their time to help others and by supporting the causes in which they believe.
Amherst is collecting nominations of individuals who you feel deserve special volunteer recognition. Individuals can also be nominated for the provincial volunteer award on behalf of the Town of Amherst and attend a provincial volunteer appreciation reception in Halifax.
Amherst also hosts a Volunteer Appreciation Reception to honour all nominees. Details will be provided at a later date.
In order to be considered for a provincial nomination, forms need to be submitted before Jan. 15. Amherst nominations will be accepted until the end of March.
