Airline adds 3rd daily flight between Kelowna, Victoria
Pacific Coastal adding afternoon flight to provincial capital
Pacific Coastal Airlines’ service between Kelowna and Victoria has caught on so well the carrier is adding a third daily flight.
Effective June 5, the afternoon flight leaves Kelowna daily, except Saturday, at 3:45 p.m. and arrives in Victoria at 4:50 p.m.
Cost starts at about $101 one way, all taxes and fees included.
“These changes are part of our ongoing commitment to provide the public with quick, convenient and affordable transportation choices,” said Pacific Coastal director of business development Kevin Boothroyd.
Pacific Coastal’s two other daily flights between Kelowna and Victoria, except Saturday, leave at 8:45 a.m. and 6:55 p.m.
On Saturday, a flight leaves Kelowna at 10:15 a.m.
Pacific Coastal flies one of its 19seat Beech 1900 turboprop planes on all flights between Kelowna and Victoria.
WestJet was the only airline to fly non-stop between Kelowna and Victoria, with two flights daily, until a couple of years ago, when Pacific Coastal entered the market.
Pacific Coastal also flies between Kelowna and Cranbrook daily, except Saturday, at 1:10 p.m.
Pacific Coastal flies between 12 other communities in B.C., mostly to and from its hub at Vancouver Airport’s South Terminal, including Campbell River, Prince George, Comox, Bella Bella, Bella Coola and Port Hardy.
