• Silver Song Group meets from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Heritage at 3630 Brown Rd. A free casual singing program for people 65 years and older who are living independently. Participants may bring a family member or caregiver. No registration required and drop-in welcome.
• Westside Toastmasters meet at 7 p.m. sharp at the Lakeview Heights Community Hall at 860 Anders Rd. Toastmasters offers a range of activities from public speaking courses to development programs in communication and leadership.Toastmasters is open to anyone over 18.

• Tracks Walking Club meets at Gellatly Nut Farm Regional Park at 9 a.m. Free beginner walking program. Members receive a walking journal, walking tips, seminars and motivational tips. Participants at a beginner fitness level are encouraged to take part gradually increasing their health, stamina and walking duration to 60 minutes. Tracks is recognized as a B.C. • Family Playtime at the Webber Road Community Centre at 2829 Inverness Rd. from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for children newborn to five years with a parent or caregiver. Drop in for social interaction with other parents, playtime for children and enjoy lunch together. Activities may include a craft, gym time and circle time with stories and songs. Free. • Friends of the Westbank Library Used Book Sale from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Heritage Retirement Residence at 3630 Brown Rd. Turn right past reception to the theatre room. Money raised from the sale supports children and adult programs as well as furnishings at the Westbank Library.
• The West Kelowna pop-up market goes 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Heritage Retirement Residence at 3630 Brown Rd. Participating artists and vendors include Patti’s Pepper Pantry, Creations By Chris, Knitting by Joyce and Westbank Harvest Juices.
Saturday, May 27
• The Emmanuel Church at 2600 Herbert Rd. is hosting a Zumba event from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the gymnasium. International salsa jammer Shadia Serrano will be coming to West Kelowna to do the Master Class fundraiser. Admission is $15. Money raised goes to the Emmanuel Church Syrian Refugee sponsorship fund to help settle a Syrian widow with six children in West Kelowna. • Go Fish at Shannon Lake Regional Park. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The pond will be stocked with trout, ready and waiting to be caught. Freshwater Fisheries Society and volunteers from the Peachland Sportsmen’s Association will be on hand to help new fishers. This program is for children 15 and under, with a one fish per day limit. No fishing license is required for B.C. children 15 and under. A limited number of rods, reels and bait will be available each weekend for youngsters to use.
