Designed for working professionals, the course is part-time study over 25 months with both online and in-person learning.
The program kicked off this summer with all students coming to Kelowna for an intense two-week introduction.
They are staying at university dormitories, attending classes at the campus and going on field trips to check out the city and visit businesses involved in wine, research and development, health, technology, forestry, government, First Nations and food and beverage.
The master program equips the professionals with problemsolving skills to deal with both economic and social development in a global environment in any sector.
After all, the students are already working in fields as varied as engineering, education, entrepreneurship, technology, health, finance, tourism and operations.

This year, August has partnered with Shaw to be the rally’s title sponsor and Auction World as presenting sponsor.
Last year, the rally raised $134,000 for the Central Okanagan Hospice Association, which looked after August’s uncle, Gary August of Coldwell Banker Realty, before he died of brain cancer in 2014.
