Sick n Twisted comedy show to push boundaries

-

Local comedian Reggie Reynolds has teamed up with Vancouver comics Mark Hughes and Sam Tonning to share their hard-core brand of humour in Kelowna this weekend.

Hughes and Tonning are the producers of the Comedy Shocker in Vancouver, an uncensored comedy show where anything goes on stage, no topic is off limits and the comedians are selected based on their ability to push the boundaries of political correctness as far as they can. Comedy Shocker is presented every four months at the Rickshaw Theatre, where the shows are packed full of loyal fans.

This Saturday, a similar show called the Sick n Twisted comedy show will be presented at Dakota’s Sports Bar and Grill. Ten local comedians will bring their darkest and dirtiest material to the stage to compete for the title of most sick and twisted comedian in Kelowna. The winner of the contest will then get the opportunity to perform at the next Comedy Shocker at the Rickshaw Theatre in Vancouver.

The Sick n Twisted comedy show will be headlined by a local comedian who is considered a master of shock comedy. Reggie Reynolds, also known for his hilarious redneck rap songs, such as “Beer to Survive” and “Campin With My Cousin,” has headlined the Comedy Shocker as part of his tour through Western Canada.

Reynolds has selected the lineup of Kelowna talent that will compete this Saturday at Dakota’s starting at 9 p.m. And Hughes and Tonning will select the winner as they watch the competition via Skype.

Call Dakota’s Sports Bar to reserve seats. Admission costs $10 at the door.
