This is a brief description of the experience that awaits you on the Voyages to Antiquity Aegean Experience and Cairo cruise on the Aegean Odyssey:
Departing in October for 13 nights, the ship cruises from Greece to Egypt and back. The itinerary includes one to two-night stays in Cairo in Egypt, Nauplia, Delphi and Athens in Greece and port visits to the Greek islands of Rhodes and Crete.
Guests will explore iconic and UNESCO World Heritage sites, such as the Acropolis and Parthenon in Athens, the Old Town and Grand Masters Palace on the island of Rhodes and the ancient city of Mycenae in Nauplia, where you can hear tales of Agamemnon and Homer.
In Egypt, guests will disembark in Alexandria, for a two-night stay and an overland tour to key attractions including Cairo, the Great Pyramid of Giza, the reclining Sphinx and the Egyptian Museum.
The overland tour also includes exploring sites in both Memphis and Sakkara, the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, dinner on the Nile and a traditional folklore and belly dancing show.
When staying overnight, guests can enjoy luxurious hotels in central locations or near to key historical attractions and offering elegant furnishings, unique artistic and architectural designs and spacious surroundings with full services and amenities.
