Icelandair enticing people to travel show

Whether you’re boarding a plane soon or you’re an avid armchair traveller, Saturday’s Spring Travel Show at Kelowna Internatio­nal Airport is designed just for you.

“The show aims to help our community plan their next vacation and learn more about the world travel opportunit­ies available by flying out of YLW (Kelowna airport),” said airport business developmen­t and community relations manager John Devitt.

“The Travel Show welcomes more than 3,000 people to YLW who are keen to plan their next holiday.”

The show runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the main terminal and features two dozen exhibitors, from airlines and hotels to travel agents and travel insurance providers.

Public Liquor will also be there offering compliment­ary wine tasting.

There will also be food tasting and live entertainm­ent.

Kelowna airport has 33 flights a day to 15 destinatio­ns, including hubs hike Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary and Seattle.

As such, travellers can fly directly to their holiday destinatio­n or connect to points worldwide for vacation, visiting friends and relatives and business.

At the show, you can also buy raffle tickets to win a grand prize $2,000 travel credit with Icelandair, a three-night flight-accommodat­ion-and-activities package to Whitehorse with Air North, three nights in Las Vegas and airfare for two with Pacific Coastal Airlines and Central Mountain Air.

Icelandair flies to Reykjavik from Vancouver and Edmonton and from Reykjavik to many points in Europe, allowing for twopronged holiday opportunit­ies.

Money raised by the raffle go to the Canucks Autism Network to provide sports and recreation programs for individual­s and families living with autism in Kelowna.
