CRIME IN OUR AREA

RCMP were called just after 9 a.m. on Feb. 20, when a car left running was stolen from an auto dealership in the 2600 block of Enterprise Way. Staff had left the 2008 Ford Edge running to warm it up for a customer when a male jumped in the vehicle and departed southbound on Jenkins Road. The male is described as slim, approximat­ely 25 year old Caucasian male wearing black pants, a black jacket, a black baseball cap and sunglasses. The stolen vehicle is a grey 2008 Ford Edge with VIN 2FMDK48CX8­BB18449.

LIQUOR STORE BREAK AND ENTER Jan. 27 RCMP file: 2018-4738

An alarm sounded at a liquor store in the 11,800 block of Oceola Road in Lake Country just after 4 a.m. on Jan. 27.

Security footage was viewed and RCMP were able to see two suspects enter the store by smashing the glass door at 4:03 a.m. They left the store with arms full of product in just under 60 seconds. The first suspect, with a large build, had a masculine appearance and was wearing a dark hoodie (hood up) dark pants and brown work boots. His face was covered and he was wearing dark gloves.

The second suspect was smaller but still appeared to be male, and was wearing a dark-coloured hoodie (hood up), a jacket with the Avengers logo on the back and dark coloured gloves, pants and boots. The suspects may have been driving a newer light coloured compact car (also pictured).

THEFT OF SNOWBLOWER

Feb. 17 RCMP file: 2018-9118 If someone is selling a snow blower minus a battery – it could be stolen! Another snow blower was reported stolen from the West Kelowna area on Feb. 17. The machine had been left outside by the garage at a home on the 2800 block of Lower Glenrosa Road while the battery was charging inside the house. The missing snow blower is a blue and black Snow Joe brand, approximat­ely two years old, worth about $300.
