Emergency status lifted for Peachland

The state of local emergency in Peachland has been rescinded, as the threat of flooding has decreased.

States of emergency remain in effect for Kelowna, West Kelowna and the Regional District of Central Okanagan.

As of Monday morning, Okanagan Lake was at 342.64 metres above sea level, a reduction of one centimetre from the day before.

Flood protection measures will stay in place until the lake drops another 16 centimetre­s to the full pool level of 342.48 metres.
