Do more for the homeless
Dear editor: There are so many advances in the fast-paced world today, but hardly a dent in dealing with homeless or the many drug abusers that play Russian roulette with their life.
MP Stephen Fuhr thinks “understanding the factors that result in homelessness will help us focus on prevention efforts toward permanent solutions.”
Stephen, take a good look at the thousands of homeless around the world before you begin to understand and supply the answer.
A house does not always make a home but a temporary place to hang your hat.
My advice to the young that have lost feelings in their heart and never heard the words “I love you,” is to join the military of choice as I did at age 17, where all are equal in boot camp.
Trying to understand why people are homeless or lost on drugs is a lost cause for those who have never walked in the shadow of the unfortunate.
