Outdoor concert Gonzo Okanagan’s inaugural concert festival event goes from 5:30 to 10 p.m. at Sunset Ranch Golf Course. Gates open at 5 p.m. Appaloosa, the Younguns and Honeymoon Suite will perform. This event is a fundraiser for a mother and three children based out of Penticton. The children are seven, two and 11 months. The youngest has been diagnosed with a rare neurologic­al disorder called Alexander’s disease and the family is in dire financial need. Fishing derby Peachland Sportsmen’s Associatio­n host a free fun Family Fishing Weekend Fishing Derby at Shannon Lake Regional Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Everything is free, including a barbecue. Fishing tackle is provided and there will be prizes and trophies. No license is required because it is Family Fishing Weekend. For more informatio­n go online to peachlands­portsmens.ca. Art and garden tour Peachland Art and Garden Tour, a self-guided tour of gardens large and small, traditiona­l and unique, runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Local creative artists will be in residence all day working in the various gardens. Tickets cost $10 each and are available the Peachland Art Gallery, Peachland Visitor Centre, Peachland Ace Hardware and Bylands Nursery in West Kelowna. Paint like Monet Paint Monet’s Water Lilies at the Creative Art Series at Grizzli Winery from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Tickets cost $68 per person and include a tour and tasting at Grizzli Winery before the workshop, fully guided painting session with Louise Lambert of Wine Country Studios, art supplies, two glasses of wine during the workshop and a cheese and chocolate platter. Recycling roundup London Drugs hosts a recycling roundup at Kelowna and West Kelowna stores from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Among items people can bring in for recycling are electronic­s (TVs, computers, printers, etc.), small electrical tools and appliances, non-food related styrofoam, cellphones, batteries, fluorescen­t light bulbs, printer cartridges, plastic bags.

Peachland Farmers and Crafters Market hosts 60 to 80 farm, craft and food vendors from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Heritage Park on Beach Avenue. The market runs every Sunday until Sept. 30.
