Help Vernon council with development

Vernon is looking for people to join its advisory planning commission.

The terms are for four years with the committee meeting at 4 p.m. every second Tuesday, following a regular council meeting.

Ten positions are open, with nine representing the community at large and one requiring a background in accessibility for the disabled and mobility impaired.

The APC advises council on proposed land uses and planning changes.

The terms of reference and a volunteer application form are available from the reception desk in City Hall or online at vernon.ca/government-services/mayor-council/council-committees.

The deadline to apply is 4:30 p.m. Nov. 21.
