Save money by slowing down

The Daily Courier - - LETTERS -

Dear Editor: With gasoline prices in the Okanagan valley going up all the time, there is one thing that can help.

Most of Highway 97 between Peachland and Penticton is marked “Maximum 100 km,” except for the section from Summerland to Trout Creek.

I find if I keep to the speed limit in the right lane, many vehicles rush past me doing well over 120 km. The higher the speed, the more fuel that’s used.

So if you slow down, you not only save fuel, but money as a result. Pixie Marriott Summerland
