Board of trade elects its leaders for 2019
The Greater Westside Board of Trade elected its new board of directors at its annual general meeting Jan. 15 at the Cove Lakeside Resort. Craig Garries, owner of PostNet in West Kelowna, is the new president, while Calvin Barr, owner of Ever-Clear Window Cleaning and Luxury Lake Tours, is vice president. Rounding out the new executive is:
• Debbie Dupasquier, outside sales at Bluestar Coachlines, is second vice president;
• Sarah Sabo, owner of Aries Accounting, is treasurer;
• Ray Kandola, owner of City Furniture, is secretary;
• Bobby Gidda, president of Volcanic Hills Winery, is the past president. The directors at large are:
• Andrea East, lawyer at Pushor Mitchell;
• Amber Hall, senior regional marketing manager at Telus;
• Robert Mellalieu, owner of F1 Computer Services;
• Brad Shave, owner of Kelly O’Bryan’s Restaurant;
• Sean Shepherd, owner of Nucleus Strategies
• Ed Stephens, senior manager of airport development at the Kelowna airport. West Kelowna Mayor Gord Milsom swore in the board at last week’s Business After Hours held at the Heritage Retirement Residence. Milsom, a former board of trade director, was presented with a token of appreciation for his service.
