On this day in 1999, Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, and Dusty Springfield were among the inductees at the 14th Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inducation ceremony in New York. McCartney’s daughter Stella wore a tee-shirt which read “About F---ing Time.” McCartney had been inducted as a member of The Beatles but not for his work with Wings or as a solo artist.
